Virtual Tailor Volume Shopping

Buying clothes on the Internet can save time and energy, but because of the different sizes of each brand, consumers will have to replace it if they buy it wrong, and it will take a lot of time and effort. To solve this problem, an online shopping website in Germany has developed a software that allows customers to build virtual models based on their own styles and try out the clothes they choose to ensure that clothes fit well.

A German online shopping website called Upcload launched a software called "virtual tailoring" to help consumers measure their stature and choose the right size clothes.

Consumers need to stand in front of the home computer camera and take a CD or other common items as a reference. The software can measure the main data of the consumer's figure in three minutes, simulate his 3D version of "model", and establish personal accounts of customers.

When a customer is shopping in a website shop, he can log on to his personal account and send out a "model" to try it on, and check whether the clothes fit well and feel the wearing effect.

Assaf Moses, chief operating officer of the website, said there were about 100 thousand figures on the website.

This software can also recommend suitable seasonal "tidal products" according to the consumers' stature and age in the database, so that consumers can keep up with the trend and avoid being outdated.

Mose said, "software can introduce new styles of clothing according to your form, rather than simply continue the style of your previous purchases."

"This means that we will introduce customers to clothing that they may never have considered." He said.

The Upcload website started developing this software two years ago. Referring to the original intention of design, Mose explained that the website had suffered from the pain of consumers buying clothes.

Mose found that because consumers often submit the wrong size, websites can receive applications for replacement almost every second.

Mose admitted that the software is not perfect at this stage, and there are still some flaws. If the user is too light or legs are too fat to detect gaps between legs, software measurement may be biased.

"If a light skin user is standing on a white wall or a lighter wall, the low end camera on the computer can not clearly measure the size." He said.

Software is free to consumers, and the related expenses are paid by sellers who ultimately deal.

The "Upcload" website has been using this software in all its German online stores. Not long ago, it was working with a well-known outdoor sports user in the United States to give consumers a trial experience and plan to enter the UK market later and implement online measurement service next summer.
