However, compared with developed countries, the quality of products is unstable, the links between upstream and downstream industries are not tight enough, lack of linkage and cooperation mechanism, key equipment is dependent on imports, leading enterprises are not strong enough, and downstream applications are not yet large-scale and industrialized, and further effective measures are needed to promote sustained and healthy development of the carbon fiber industry.
To this end, Wang Dong proposed that the NDRC will carry out work in the following three aspects: first, intensify joint efforts to organize the upstream and downstream enterprises of carbon fiber and universities and research institutes, and carry out joint key research around the key technologies of carbon fiber production, localization of key equipment, and development of professional auxiliaries, so as to break through the bottleneck and further enhance the coordination of technology and production equipment.

The carbon fiber industry has entered an unprecedented new stage of development.
