On September 10th -14, the Thirteenth International Standardization Organization / garment size series and ISO/TC 133 plenary meeting hosted by the China National Standardization Management Committee and the Institute of textile and clothing engineering of Soochow University was held in Soochow University.

Full time vice president Yang Jinchun, deputy director of Shanghai quality and Technology Supervision Bureau Chen Xiaojun, Li Ping, deputy director of Suzhou quality and Technology Supervision Bureau, Shi Yanjun, deputy director of Standardization Department of Shanghai quality and Technology Supervision Bureau, Zhang Deliang, vice president of Shanghai Textile Science Research Institute, Pan Zhijuan, Dean of the school of textile and clothing engineering, attended the opening ceremony.

More than 30 representatives from 9 countries from South Africa, France, Italy, Ethiopia, South Korea, Kenya, Japan, Portugal and China attended the meeting.

The conference was chaired by Cao Zonghua, Secretary General of the national garment Standardization Technical Committee.

ISO/TC 133, founded in 1969, is responsible for anthropometric measurements.

The Secretariat is jointly undertaken by the South African Standard Bureau and the China National Standardization Management Committee.

At present, there are 23 formal member states and 26 observation countries. 8 of the ISO standards have been issued. These international standards promote the global standardization and unification of global clothing size and logo.

So far, the thirteen plenary session of the ISO/TC 133 has been successfully held, and many forward-looking and constructive suggestions have been put forward to promote the development of global garment standardization.

At the opening ceremony, Chen Xiaojun first explained the importance of the work of dress standardization, and looked forward to the ISO/TC 133 China Secretariat to undertake more exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese experts and world experts in the Shanghai textile group testing standard Co., Ltd., to achieve more new achievements in the international standardization field of clothing.

Subsequently, Li Ping introduced the standardization work in Suzhou and the blueprint for future standardization work in Suzhou, and also expressed the willingness of Suzhou to make more contributions to international standardization work.

In his speech, Krishnavellie Pandarum thanked the organizer of the conference and wished the conference a complete success.

After the opening ceremony in September 10th, it entered the 1 meeting of the working group.

Experts from various countries have fully communicated with each other and discussed the arrangements for the next year's standard work.

With the continuous improvement of the scale and influence of China's garment industry, the China National Standardization Management Committee will continue to make suggestions and play an important role in the development of world garment standardization with the help of ISO/TC 133 platform.
