Recently, Shanghai Consumer Protection Commission has conducted a comparative test on high-heeled sandals and found that some quality problems may cause harm to consumers.

The reporter learned in the interview that a total of 40 types of high-heeled sandals were purchased in this comparative experiment, including popular brands, online Red brands and light luxury brands; Prices range from 125.1 yuan to 4620 yuan. According to GB / t22756-2017 "leather sandals", QB / t1002-2015 "shoes" and "general safety requirements for footwear" (Draft for approval) and other standards, a total of 11 indexes of 40 high-heeled sandals including folding resistance, peel strength, hook, Cr (VI), phthalate (phthalate) and biodegradable aromatic amine dyes were tested.  

Hook center is one of the main stress components of high-heeled sandals, which is located inside the shoes. Whether the shoes are stable or not depends on the function of hook center under certain conditions. If the hook center is too short or too soft, it will not be able to play an effective supporting role. When walking, the shoes may skew, which is easy to cause personal injury such as foot twisting and falling.

In this comparative test, 4 pairs of high-heeled sandals failed to meet the standard, which was one of the items with the most problem samples.

In the laboratory, the reporter saw that the hook center of this high-heeled sandal was directly broken by the test instrument during the bending performance test. This pair of honeygirl Tianshen brand high-heeled sandals produced by Shenzhen Xitian Clothing Co., Ltd. should have a steel hook core length of at least 115 mm. However, after actual measurement, the hook core length is only 112 mm, which is 3 mm shorter than the standard requirement.

In addition to the insufficient length, engineers also found that the hook core hardness of this nominal Schutz sandal was not enough, and the measured hardness was only half of the standard requirement.

After testing, four types of high-heeled sandals in Gouxin project did not meet the standard requirements. The four products were nominal hongegirl Tianshen high-heeled sandals of Shenzhen Xitian Clothing Co., Ltd., Schutz sandals of Hangzhou Shuzi Trading Co., Ltd., Pt'son baitiansen sandals of Shenzhen Baisen Footwear Co., Ltd. and George Armani (Shanghai) Giorgio Armani brand high-heeled sandals.

The reporter noted that the price of the two nominal Giorgio Armani brand samples was 4620 yuan, which was one of the samples in the comparative test. However, obvious cracks appeared in the hook center during the bending performance test, which did not meet the standard requirements.

This comparative test found that some expensive high-heeled sandals are not up to standard in terms of basic band aid and folding resistance. This pair of women's SKAP shenggabu shoes of Shenzhen longhaotiandi Co., Ltd., with a price of 1184 yuan, failed to meet the requirements of the standard.

After 40000 times of folding resistance test, the sole crack of this nominal high-heeled sandal of Zhejiang zhuoshini Shoes Co., Ltd. reaches 63mm, more than twice the standard limit.

Some sandals exceed the standard of harmful substances

There are potential risks of skin allergy and cancer

Sandals are generally barefoot wear, and will be in direct contact with the skin. According to the comparative test of high-heeled sandals conducted by Shanghai Municipal Commission of consumer protection, it was found that some of the samples of 40 high-heeled sandals exceeded the standard.

In order to fully understand the potential risks in high-heeled sandals, the content of harmful substances in high-heeled sandals was detected according to the general safety requirements for footwear, which was set up in 2019 and is now in the approval stage, The results showed that the content of phthalate esters in 4 kinds of high-heeled sandals exceeded the limits recommended by relevant standards.

These four products are the nominal 73 hours brand samples of Shanghai Yueze Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd., kisscat brand samples of Tianchuang Fashion Co., Ltd., exull ISE Q brand samples of Exel Co., Ltd., and honeygirl Tianshen brand samples of Shenzhen Xitian Clothing Co., Ltd. among them, the content of phthalate in Tianxin sandals is the highest, which is 6 times of the standard limit. Testing engineers told reporters that phthalate ester is a kind of common "plasticizer", adding in footwear materials can make the sole, lining and other parts become soft and elastic, and enhance the comfort of wearing.

In addition to phthalates, the content of hexavalent chromium in adult shoes is recommended not to exceed 10mg / kg in general safety requirements for footwear. The comparative test also found that the hexavalent chromium content of this nominal HOTWIND sandal of Ningbo hot air Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. is 25mg / kg, which is 2.5 times of the standard limit. Testing engineers told reporters that hexavalent chromium toxicity, human skin contact with hexavalent chromium can cause allergy; Inhalation through the respiratory tract can cause liver and kidney damage, and even cause cancer and genetic defects in severe cases.
