Pakistan Cotton Yarn Export To China Suspended Due To Disaster

Since the beginning of September, Pakistan's cotton yarn factories and cotton yarn exporters have suspended the quotation and sales of ship goods to Chinese customers.

It is reported that Pakistan's cotton yarn was suddenly interrupted for the following reasons: first, affected by the disaster, some cotton mills in Sindh and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan were greatly damaged in terms of raw material procurement, cotton yarn production, sales and transportation. Second, due to the lack of energy supply, Pakistan is short of natural gas and power supply, and the high domestic cotton price in Pakistan, so the overall operation rate of cotton mills has dropped to about 50%. In the case of a sharp decline in production capacity and difficult to determine the delivery date, it is a helpless move for Pakistan's cotton mills and exporters to suspend the quotation on the Chinese market. Third, China's cotton yarn import demand continued to decline significantly, coupled with the continuous depreciation of the RMB exchange rate, Pakistan yarn export pressure on the Chinese market.
