Professor Zhu Meifang, Chairman Of The CIAA Expert Committee And Academician Of The Chinese Academy Of Sciences, Attended The 20Th Anniversary Of The CIAA And Delivered A Speech

On December 25, 2022, CIAA The 20th anniversary meeting was held online. The conference is releasing The 20th Anniversary of CIAA On the basis of that, the organization and individual who made outstanding contributions to the construction of CIAA and the development of the antibacterial industry were commended.

Chairman of the Expert Committee of the Association, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of Donghua University Zhu Meifang Madam attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Academician Zhu Meifang pointed out that the antibacterial industry, as a typical emerging industry driven by new and high technologies, originated in 1998. As an industry organization serving the development of the industry, the Antibacterial Association has been preparing for establishment since 2002. It is under the active promotion of the Antibacterial Association and the joint efforts of all industry colleagues that the antibacterial industry has developed into a new industry with an annual output value of more than 200 billion yuan after more than 20 years. This is a great achievement! Here, I would like to pay high tribute to the colleagues of the Antibacterial Association and the colleagues in the antibacterial industry who have made great efforts for the development of the industry.

Academician Zhu Meifang believes that academia leads industry growth and academic service industry development. She pointed out that as a scientific worker, I am very honored to serve the development of the antibacterial industry with my own scientific research. At the same time, I am also very happy to serve the development of the antibacterial industry as the chairman of the Expert Committee of the Antibacterial Association. Science and technology are the primary productive forces. She hopes that experts and scholars engaged in scientific research can face the industry, take industrial demand as the guide, and provide the source power of scientific and technological innovation for industrial development. At the same time, I hope that all colleagues engaged in industrial work can take the national strategy of building a healthy China as a guide, provide safe and effective antibacterial products for the society, and create a cleaner, healthier and more comfortable living environment for consumers.

Finally, Academician Zhu Meifang raised expectations for the work of the Association. She hoped that the Association could take the 20th anniversary as an opportunity to uphold its original intention, refine its industry service ability, and promote the sustainable, rapid and healthy development of the antibacterial industry.
