Jiaozuo'S Fur Export Faces New Opportunities

Recently, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of environmental protection and the General Administration of Customs jointly issued a document to adjust the existing policy on processing trade of raw skins. 34 enterprises in our city will benefit from it.

According to introducing, this policy adjustment involves 32 items of the leather goods tax item number, and stipulates three types of business that allows processing trade to import raw leather.

First, the imported raw skins are directly processed into leather products before they are exported.

Two, imported raw leather is processed into semi finished leather or finished leather, then directly or through the special supervision areas of the customs to the downstream leather products enterprises, and further processed into leather products before they are exported.

The three is to import semi-finished leather or finished leather from processed raw leather, and then export to the bonded areas and export processing zones.

According to the relevant person in charge of the city commerce bureau, the export processing products of foreign trade are important export commodities in our city. In 2005, there were 34 processing trade enterprises in the city, and 50 thousand tons of raw leather were imported annually.

The policy adjustment of the three ministries and commissions of the country has made our leather processing enterprises continue to engage in processing trade, and will play a positive role in promoting the development of processing trade in our city.
