The fourteenth order has been put into effect since August 1, 1989.

The promulgation and implementation of the commodity inspection law indicates that the work of commodity inspection has entered new legal management.

The "Commodity Inspection Law" clearly states that the purpose of legislation is to strengthen the inspection of import and export commodities, ensure the quality of goods, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of all parties involved in foreign trade.

The commodity inspection institutions set up in various localities are respectively responsible for the import and export commodity inspection work of the whole country and the regions under their jurisdiction.

The commodity inspection law is the legal basis for the inspection and supervision of import and export commodities, and ensures that the commodity inspection authorities independently exercise their functions and powers in accordance with the law.

The commodity inspection law clearly stipulates the contents and scope of the supervision and administration of the commodity inspection authorities, and the export commodities enterprises within the statutory inspection scope may send inspectors to participate in supervision.

Quality inspection before going out of factory; inspection and inspection of import and export commodities beyond statutory regulations; and export commodities are not allowed to be exported through random inspection.
