      消费者两次交涉未果


At 3 p.m. on April 5th, Miss Wu bought a pair of flat bottomed shoes worth HK $more than 3500 at the GUCCI store in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hongkong. After paying, they put shoes on their feet. The salesmen therefore sealed the "no refund of the goods" on their receipts.

But after wandering around Harbour City for 3 hours, Miss Wu felt that her shoes were on her feet. After examination, she found that a small piece of leather inside her left heel was turned over, and then she returned to the shop. At that time, the hall manager repaired the shoes, but Miss Wu thought it was a quality problem and hoped that the shop would be replaced.


"If the shoes of more than 300 yuan are damaged, I feel nothing, but the shoes are more than 3000 yuan. How did I wear them for a few hours?"

Miss Wu questioned.

However, the shop owner said that the brand had no precedent for returning the goods in Hongkong, so it was necessary to ask Italy headquarters to return it first.

Three days later, Miss Wu once again failed to negotiate with the shop, which made her feel very angry. "So big a brand, it will be damaged if you wear it?"

Hongkong GUCCI customer service Miss Chen said, shoes are leather products, wear will appear after use, "like human skin, if it is subjected to external friction or collision, it will wear out, which is not directly related to the length of use."

She said that the GUCCI technicians identified that the shoes had no quality problems, so they could not be replaced. If Miss Wu wore a problem again, she would also need to identify and inspect them before making a judgment, "if shoes need to be repaired again, they can go to the specialized shops in the mainland, but they need to pay the fees."


Huang Yingqiu, director of public affairs of Hongkong Consumer Council, suggests that if mainland consumers encounter Miss Wu's situation, they can first take the goods to the Consumer Council, which will be mediated by the consumer society. First of all, it can avoid the trouble of running between the two places. On the other hand, if there is any dispute about the safety of electrical appliances and the authenticity of jade, the Consumer Council can be referred to the relevant government departments or experts for identification.


For Miss Wu such a case, she thought it is difficult to determine whether it is human factors or goods themselves, consumers must understand the relevant provisions before returning to purchase, otherwise, disputes can only be passive.
