In recent days, Lin Shi Sheng, who has been on business in Shanghai, Tianjin and Beijing for nearly a month, has finally returned to Shishi.

"This is the longest business trip I have ever had, and this harvest has been very small. On behalf of the association and the Shanghai Hualian business giants, the agreement has reached a total of more than 500 thousand casual pants."

Lin Shengchuan's face was full of smiles.

Lin Sheng pass is the president of Shishi casual trousers Association.

He said that the past year has been "the busiest year" since he became president.

Behind him is Shishi's huge textile and garment industry cluster.

The biggest pillar industry in the region has successfully overcome the impact of the international financial crisis.

Data show that in 2009, Shishi's textile and garment industrial output value above scale exceeded 20 billion yuan for the first time, reaching 21 billion 230 million yuan, an increase of 15.4% over the same period last year.

Many textile and garment owners said that Shishi's textile and garment industry has successfully broken through, and the 10 industry associations have played an important role.

In March this year, the children's clothing industry in Shishi took an important step to establish the Shishi children's wear Association.

So far, Shishi textile and garment industry cluster has 10 industry associations including casual pants, children's clothing, dyeing and finishing, sewing equipment, cloth, clothing City Chamber of Commerce, accessories and so on.

It is understood that there are 30 commercial associations in Shishi, and 1/3 of them are related to textiles and clothing.

"For a single industry, the number of trade associations in Shishi textile and garment industry ranks first in the country's county-level cities."

Liu Dewang, vice mayor of Shishi, who is responsible for coordinating the relationship with industry associations, said.

Shishi's many textile and garment industry associations are characterized by marketization.

"The management and members of these associations are from the members of the industry."

"The president of these associations is an entrepreneur in their own right. They have great influence in the industry and have the ability to work in coordinating the relationship in the industry," said Lin Jinchang, deputy director of the Shishi Economic Bureau.

Dyeing and finishing industry is a traditional industry in Shishi.

At the beginning of last year, many dyeing and finishing enterprises took a price cut strategy because of the decline of orders. At the same time, the whole industry set off a wave of price cutting, and the profits of enterprises were damaged.

At the crucial time, the dyeing and finishing Association came out. Under the coordination of the president, the association unified a minimum price and called on the members of the association to discipline themselves. Once the individual enterprises violated the lowest price, they coordinated the local economic departments and took measures to cut off water and electricity.

"In this way, the price is stopped, and the profits of the lion dyeing and finishing industry are all kept."

A person in charge of the association said.

Under the impact of the international financial crisis, some small and medium-sized enterprises have experienced sharp decline in orders.

At that time, many associations issued the slogan of "no order to find associations".

"Some big enterprises can't finish the list, but some small businesses are not working.

Through the platform of association, we make the order allocation among two large and small enterprises, thus solving the problem of information asymmetry.

Hong Ming, President of the fabric industry association, said.

"Last year, more than ever, we emphasized the overall brand and external image of Shishi textile and clothing.

At present, it is difficult to fight alone, but only when we attack the whole country can we start our brand and defuse risks.

Cai Rongzhen, President of Shishi clothing City Association, said.

Last April was the most difficult period for the textile and garment industry.

But shrewd stone lions businessmen are good at finding business opportunities.

In mid April, the Shishi casual trousers Association learned that textile giant Shandong Ruyi group had a large number of cloth stocks. The chairman of the association, Lin Sheng Sheng, immediately convened a number of associations such as the textile and garment industry association, the clothing City Chamber of Commerce, etc., to hold a joint meeting to gather the scattered procurement of various industries, and to negotiate with Shandong Ruyi group as a whole.

As a result, signed a 650 million yuan cloth shopping list.

"The procurement cost of cloth has been reduced by 20%, and a number of small and medium-sized enterprises have benefited from it.

Through this case, the bargaining power of the entire Shishi textile and garment enterprises has been improved.

Cai Dongsheng, President of Shishi textile and garment industry association, said.

The shortage of skilled workers has become a major problem in the development of Shishi textile and garment industry in recent years.

In the first half of last year, many garment enterprises in the Pearl River Delta cities such as Dongguan and Shenzhen went bankrupt and were launched by the Shishi textile and garment industry association. Many associations quickly organized to form a recruiting group and went to Guangdong to attract over 10 thousand skilled technicians.

In order to solve the long-term problem of lack of labor, the 6 associations jointly invested millions of yuan, and established 6 training bases in Ningxia, Gansu, Inner Mongolia and other places, and worked with local technical secondary schools to provide a steady stream of skilled technicians for the textile and garment industry of Shishi.

Last November, at the Shanghai international fabric exhibition, sponsored by the fabric industry association, Shishi's 46 fabric enterprises collectively took the largest booth covering more than 2000 square meters.

"In the past, the fabric companies have been exhibiting independently, too dispersed, and the effect is not good. This unified centralized display has brought over 15% orders for the lion rock fabric enterprises."

Hong Ming, President of Shishi cloth industry association, said.
