The twentieth largest international footwear exhibition in Asia, the Guangzhou international footwear, leather and Industrial Equipment Exhibition (Guangzhou international shoes exhibition) will be held on June 1st -3 at Pazhou Exhibition Hall.

According to customs statistics, 8 billion 170 million pairs of shoes exported from China in 2009 decreased by 0.8% compared with the same period last year. Exports to the US, EU and Japan have declined, but exports to ASEAN have increased by 61.5%. The industry believes that since January 1st this year, the China ASEAN Free Trade Area has been fully activated, and more than 90% of Chinese merchandise, including shoes, has been exported to ASEAN to achieve zero tariffs. This undoubtedly set up a new platform for shoe manufacturers in China and ASEAN member countries.
