Bangladesh's clothing manufacturers have said that in the past few weeks, delivery of imported raw materials through Chittagong has lost speed.

The Bangladesh clothing manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) said that before the ships came ashore, they needed 2-3 days to get raw materials, but it would take about 10 days.

The delayed supply of imported raw materials has led to the lack of raw materials in various factories, which has affected the manufacturing and distribution process of garments and garments.

This situation began to deteriorate as the Chittagong port authority took over the loading and unloading operations of ships in May 11th.

In April 29th, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh requested that the operators in Chittagong should be stopped and the port authority of Chittagong would take over the loading and unloading operations.

Since May 25th, about 25 of the container and clothing related items have been anchored at the Chittagong container terminal.

Industry insiders said they could not get any raw materials needed for ready-made garments from these ships.

In response to this problem, officials of the Chittagong Port Authority stated that they had taken the necessary measures to speed up the delivery process.
