In 1941, the fund-raising of national capitalists founded the Jingwei Textile machinery manufacturing company in our province, which is the beginning of our province's textile machinery production.

In 1954, the first modern textile machinery factory, the national Jingwei Textile Machinery Factory, was formally put into operation.

Its production has completely reversed the long-term dependence on imports of textile machinery in old China, and opened up broad prospects for the development of China's textile machinery manufacturing industry in the future.

In 1996, the state-owned Jingwei Textile Machinery Company issued H-shares on the stock exchange of Hongkong. In December of the same year, the issue of A shares was listed on the Shenzhen stock exchange and became the largest textile machinery manufacturing base in China.

From 2000 to 2006, the market share of the four main products of the company remained above 60%, becoming the leader of China's textile machinery industry.

At present, our textile machinery has developed for many years, and has formed a textile machinery manufacturing industrial cluster with strong comparative advantages in Yuci, which has the strong comparative advantage in China. It has the only state-level technology center of the national cotton spinning machinery manufacturing enterprise.

Yuci District of Jinzhong has become an important textile production base in China. There are more than 200 enterprises engaged in textile machinery production in the region, and more than 1 million enterprises have annual output value of more than 1 million. There are nearly 20 enterprises with output value of more than 10 million, and two breakthroughs in the output value of billion yuan.

In 2008, Yuci, as the hometown of Shanxi merchants, was awarded the title of "China's textile machinery City" by the China Textile Industry Association.

At present, apart from Jingwei Textile machinery, a large number of private textile machinery enterprises, such as Shanxi Hongji Polytron Technologies Inc, Best Machinery Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Fujin Textile Machinery Co., Ltd., have emerged. Such brands as Hongji, Shanghai Jin, Best and Fujin have formed strong competitive advantages.

The manufacture of spinning machinery, weaving machinery, combing complete machinery, chemical fiber spinning machinery, cotton spinning frame and high-grade comber has reached the international advanced level.

The textile machinery manufacturing industry is not only the Yuci area of Jinzhong, but also a pillar industry in which the province has many employees, mature technology, high equipment, export-oriented economy, and very promising industrial prospects.

It is understood that during the "12th Five-Year" period, our province will take market as the guidance, speed up independent innovation and structural adjustment, rely on Jingwei Textile machinery to integrate peripheral textile machinery enterprises, make strong sets of main engine, make sophisticated supporting products, build textile machinery manufacturing industry system, and build a national textile machinery manufacturing national demonstration base -- Jinzhong textile machinery industrial base.

We will focus on developing a complete set of chemical fiber equipment with differential functions and a set of polyester staple fiber equipment with a daily production capacity of more than 200 tons.

At the same time, we should focus on the main products of spinning machines and make the supporting industries for spinning machines.

Relying on the resource advantages of Jingwei Textile machinery, technology and capital, as well as the flexible management system of Jinzhong private textile machinery enterprises, we should strengthen the R & D and manufacturing level of specialized parts of textile machinery, and promote the development of various fields, including casting, cold work, forging, mechanical rough machining, surface treatment and so on. We will build a perfect textile machinery industry chain, realize specialized production and social cooperation, establish regional specialized spinning machine production and raw material distribution center, foster the development of industrial clusters, and make the large spinning machine supporting industry.
