The plan has been reported to the NDRC, and the NDRC is studying it.

Li Ke did not answer directly, but he stressed "confidence in planning."

Wang Mengkui, former director of the development center of the State Council, pointed out at the seminar that the significance of the Central Plains Economic Zone is to further improve the quality of life of the 150 million population, which is the greatest significance of the economic zone.

Yang Ruilong, Dean of the school of economics, Renmin University of China, told NetEase finance that the significance of the Central Plains Economic Zone is not only important for Henan, but also necessary for the adjustment of China's economic layout.

China's economy

The center of gravity should be in the Central Plains region.

The plan initially proposed that the Central Plains Economic Zone is based on

Henan

As the main body, it extends to the surrounding areas, supports the central part, the east to the Yangtze River Delta, the West link, the north to Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and the Southern Yangtze River middle reaches economic belt, with its own characteristics, unique advantages, economic connections, similar missions and objective economic regions.

The regional scope mainly includes Henan and Southeast Shanxi, Southern Hebei, Northwest Anhui, Southwest Shandong and other surrounding areas.

Peking University professor Li Yining believes that the construction of the Central Plains Economic Zone must further enhance Henan's economic strength.

He suggested that the third board market should be tried out early in Zhengzhou, so that the unlisted stock companies could get property pactions and financing platforms.

At the same time, Li Yining also suggested that, in balancing urban and rural development, Henan should issue property certificates to farmers to increase their property income.

In the six central provinces (Shanxi, Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi), Henan ranks the center, and the total GDP is ahead of the remaining five provinces: in 2009, the total GDP of the province reached 19367 billion yuan, ranking fifth in the whole country, next only to four strong coastal economic provinces such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Zhejiang.

However, because of the population of over 100 million, the per capita GDP ranks only in the middle reaches of the country (in 2009, the figure was 3090 dollars, ranking fifteenth in the 31 provinces and municipalities in the mainland).
