Textile development plan

Reyes said that the industrial sector and the Ministry of trade and industry are currently focusing on the "save our industrial law" act, which was proposed by the Philippines government and passed in the US Congress.

The purpose of the bill is to get duty-free and ex gratia benefits to the Philippines market, provided that the textiles and fabrics of these garments are imported from the United States.

Reyes stated that the state and textile sector should not only focus on the passage of the bill, but the textile industry should be the top soldier in the next five years.

Because other countries, such as the European Union and China, have not done so.

Reyes said that the development plan should be implemented side by side with the salvage law.
