While anti-dumping cases in Europe and the United States frequently arouse the concern of the whole society, Latin American trade barriers to China are also quietly increasing.

Recently, the Argentina government announced that restrictions on imports of Chinese products will affect the export of our city.

The restricted products announced by the government of Argentina include tires and wheels, clothing, toys, leather, shoes, textiles, bicycles, computers and other products.

The restriction measures include non automatic license, safety and quality standard, customs supervision, low price declaration, special customs duties, commercial invoice, Embassy accreditation in China.

Argentina also made clear that such measures will mainly focus on Chinese products.

In the 1~7 month of this year, our city exported $107 million 830 thousand to Argentina, an increase of 107.7% over the same period last year.

The main export commodities are air conditioners, lamps, fans, steel, televisions and toys.

In this year's 1~7 months, toys are 350 thousand dollars, 150 thousand dollars for clothing, 250 thousand for shoes, 160 thousand for textiles, 30 thousand for bicycles, and 270 thousand for computers.

The amount involved amounted to US $1 million 200 thousand, accounting for 1.1% of the total value of Argentina exported to our city.

"From the statistics, Argentina's restrictions on China's commodities have little impact on our city, but enterprises should be alert to the continued increase in Latin American trade risks."

The relevant officials of the Municipal Bureau of foreign trade and economic cooperation reminded.

Since 2006, the number of anti-dumping cases against China in Latin America has increased dramatically.

Brazil, Argentina and Columbia have more than 20 anti-dumping cases against China in the past two years, including irons, socks, underwear, ceramic tableware, bicycle accessories and so on.

It is understood that in recent years, enterprises in our city actively explore Latin American emerging markets.

From 1 to July this year, our city exported $861 million 500 thousand to Latin America, an increase of 56.2% over the same period last year. The main export commodities include air conditioners, textiles and garments, aluminum, furniture, toys, fans and shoes.

Among them, exports to Brazil amounted to 214 million US dollars, an increase of 57.8%, and exports to Columbia amounted to US $42 million 260 thousand, an increase of 88.4%.
