Jairam Ramesh, Minister of Commerce of India, met with the head of the leather export chamber of the country to discuss a plan to profit from the recent EU's chance to levy anti-dumping duties on leather footwear classes in China and Vietnam. India footwear industry regards this development as a new opportunity to open new sales windows within the EU.
