Singapore Appropriated $5 Million 600 Thousand For Textile And Apparel Professionals
The Singapore government has announced that it will
appropriation
6 million 800 thousand yuan Singapore dollars (US $5 million 600 thousand) for textile and garment industry personnel training, so as to promote the sustainable development of Singapore's textile and garment industry.
It is understood that the training program will be implemented by the Singapore Human Resources Development Council (WDA) in conjunction with the Singapore textile and Garment Association (TAFF). Its purpose is to train professionals needed in the textile and garment industry to support its industry in the direction of high value-added.
According to the relevant framework agreement, the first year will cost about 2 million 800 thousand yuan in new currency.
Train
The project mainly includes product design and R & D, global sourcing, supply chain management and sales.
The remaining 4 million yuan will be used to train 2800 other professionals in the next three years.
WDA, a Singapore garment maker, has helped the company recruit professionals with managerial expertise in Indonesia to work in offices in Indonesia and Vietnam.
