Latin American countries have tightened their restrictions on Chinese footwear products recently.

A few days ago, the Brazil government announced that from October 4th, China's leather shoes must be examined and approved one by one before entering Brazil.

The approval process may take up to 60 days.

It is reported that in March 4, 2010, the Brazil Foreign Trade Commission decided to impose an anti-dumping duty of 13.85 US dollars on imports of footwear from China. In March 21, 2010, Argentina announced that it had set a minimum price of 13.38 dollars / double FOB price for shoes originating in China.

according to

Fujian

Inspection and Quarantine Bureau statistics, since 2010, Brazil and Argentina on China's footwear products to take

Anti-dumping

After the measures, the number of shoes exported to Brazil in Jinjiang dropped from 2 million 148 thousand and 800 pairs in 2009 to 184 thousand and 900 pairs in 2010, down 91.40% from the same period last year. The number of shoes exported to Argentina dropped from 1 million 546 thousand and 400 pairs in 2009 to 597 thousand and 300 pairs in 2010, down 61.37% from the same period last year.

Therefore, this year, Brazil and Mexico once again tighten restrictions on China's footwear products, which is bound to cause a greater blow to the Latin American market of Chinese shoe and shoe exports.

To this end, the Fujian inspection and Quarantine Bureau suggests that the relevant enterprises in the relevant jurisdictions should pay close attention to the import policies of Latin American countries, handle orders in Brazil and other countries with caution, avoid customers from canceling orders, return goods, or cause the goods to stay in ports because of changes in import policies. They must resolutely export from the regular channels, and do not have any luck to engage in illegal activities such as changing the origin and illegal pshipment. Besides, they should also insist on winning by quality, increase the intensity of new product development, continuously improve product quality and added value, and fundamentally lift the anti-dumping crisis.
