"This is the BLY-1A peel tester, which is mainly used to measure the peel strength of shoes. This is the GJ9B1 type leather thickness gauge, which is mainly used to measure the thickness of leather material. This is the XM-1 abrasion tester, which is mainly used to measure the wear resistance of the shoe sole."

Qi director briefed reporters on the names and uses of various instruments.

Along the way, reporters feel deeply that the testing agency is like a product "hospital". Testing is like a doctor treating patients like a doctor.

Here, words like "maybe, maybe, probably" are never allowed to appear, because every experiment and data produced in the laboratory must be passed through a rigorous and meticulous process. Without diagnosis, it is impossible to prescribe the right medicine.

The testing organization should not only detect the defects of products, but also provide guidance and assistance for manufacturers to further improve, so as to promote the quality of China's footwear industry.

The shoe making industry is different from other industries. It involves many aspects such as materials, machinery, design, fashion trends, regional characteristics and so on. Its corresponding detection process is also very complicated and diverse.

If companies and consumers are to be trusted, the testing institutions should also be able to prescribe the right medicine for the problems that have been checked out and help the problematic enterprises to carry out the necessary rectification.

For this reason, the staff of the research institute often communicate with manufacturers, find out the causes and solve the problems.

The inspection agency, like a school, used Qi's director to say that the relationship between testing institutions and enterprises is sometimes like the relationship between teachers and students.

Shoemaking industry has its particularity. Most small and medium-sized shoe making enterprises are mainly made by hand, and the industry threshold is low. Even the less educated outsiders can master basic production techniques and processes through simple training, but this has led many manufacturing frontline staff to not know much about the testing standards of footwear products, which seriously affects the quality of finished shoes.

In view of this situation, the research institute always persists in carrying out publicity work and popularizing science and technology to manufacturers.

In the selection of the "China standard innovation contribution award" in 2007, the industry standard QB/T1002-2005 "leather shoes", which was drafted by the Academy, won the two prize. It was praised by leaders at all levels, reflecting the excellent teacher quality of "school".

The detection machine constitutes a consumer's home. In order to better safeguard the interests of consumers, the Institute has been actively and enthusiastically maintaining consumer rights while seriously recording all kinds of footwear problems and accumulating relevant experience.

Qi told reporters that the past consumer complaints of footwear quality problems mainly for the bottom, glue, and now such complaints have been greatly reduced, footwear broken bottom, glue problem has been gradually resolved, the health and comfort of footwear has increasingly become the focus of consumer attention.

Generally speaking, from material to finished shoes, it will take dozens of processes. During this period, even if a simple link appears problems, it is likely to result in the final product being unqualified.

There has been some misunderstanding in the recognition of footwear quality.

Many consumers believe that the evaluation criteria for the quality of footwear are genuine leather and fake leather, so consumers are eager to master the proven method of identifying genuine leather.

Qi said, "because the technology of synthetic leather manufacturing is more and more advanced and the technology is more and more exquisite, it is more and more difficult to identify the real leather.

Sometimes, even professional inspectors should use high magnification glasses to observe the distribution of pores on the surface of leather so as to identify true and false.

So, as an ordinary consumer, how to identify the quality of shoes when choosing shoes?

First, it is necessary to see whether the packaging (shoebox) is exquisite and formal. In the QB/T 2673-2004 "footwear product identification" standard, it is necessary to clearly indicate the name and address of the producer, the origin of the finished shoes, the product name (such as sheepskin adhesive shoes), the surface materials, the number of shoes, the duration of the three packages, the adoption of standards (such as leather shoes, QB/T 1002-2005), the color and the number of goods, and the incomplete or untrue contents are all irregular packaging. Two, it depends on the cleanliness and fineness of the products, such as whether the pins are uniform, whether there are stains or disabilities, and so on. Three is to see how the after-sales service of the products is.

As long as the 3 points are up to standard, the quality of products will not be too large. "

Only when we really understand the needs of consumers can we serve consumers better.

In 2004, when the Research Institute conducted a census of the feet of 80 thousand people in China, it was found that the foot type of Asian people is quite different from that of the European and American counterparts.

At the same time, the staff of the Institute often consciously observe the shoes of passers-by, asking questions about the price of shoes, the manufacturer, the time to buy and the comfort of wearing, and so on, has gradually formed a work habit.

Qi said that she had observed 1 hours of men's shoes at the capital airport, Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station. It was found that although men's shoes were the same as men's shoes, there were great differences between men's shoes at the capital airport and the men's shoes at Beijing West Railway Station, both in style and design.

Through long-term observation and accumulation, the Institute has grasped the first-hand information on the purchasing crowd, foot type characteristics and consumer demand of different shoes, which has accumulated valuable experience for better service to consumers.

During the process of serving consumers, the Institute summed up the 3 most common complaints about consumers: first, the quality of products did exist, the two was quality problems caused by improper dress, and three was malicious consumption.

"For the first two situations, we should first learn to listen and listen to consumers' complaints, then make a scientific and fair inspection of the complaints of consumers, and give accurate answers, which really help consumers solve problems.

For the third case, we must take a clear-cut stand and have a clear attitude. We should protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, but not all rights and interests.
