Characteristics of polyester fabric

Polyester fabric is a kind of chemical fiber clothing fabric used in daily life. Its biggest advantage is good wrinkle resistance and shape retention, so it is more suitable for making outerwear. In general, polyester fabrics have the following characteristics:

1. Polyester fabric has high strength and elastic recovery capacity. Therefore, it is firm and durable, wrinkle resistant and iron free.

2. The polyester fabric has poor moisture absorption, and it feels stuffy and hot when worn. At the same time, it is easy to carry static electricity and dirt, which affects the beauty and comfort. However, it is easy to dry after washing, and the wet strength almost does not drop, and does not deform.

3. Polyester is the best heat resistant fabric among synthetic fabrics, with thermoplasticity, which can be used to make pleated skirts with durable pleats. At the same time, the melting resistance of polyester fabric is poor, and it is easy to form holes when encountering soot, sparks, etc. Therefore, try to avoid cigarette butts, sparks, etc. when wearing.

4. The light fastness of polyester fabric is better than that of acrylic fiber, and its light fastness is better than that of natural fiber fabric. Especially, the sun resistance behind the glass is very good, almost on a par with acrylic fiber.

5. The polyester fabric has good resistance to various chemicals. Acids and alkalis do not damage them to a great extent, and they are not afraid of mold and moth eaten.

Whether polyester can be used in underwear

Many underwear fabrics now contain polyester, and a small amount of polyester should have no effect unless it is a particularly sensitive constitution. If 100% polyester is marked on the ingredient label, try not to choose underwear, because polyester has poor moisture absorption, is easy to generate static electricity, and is too smooth, which makes it uncomfortable to wear close to the body. It is not suitable to make underwear, and it is recommended that cotton (mainly cotton) underwear should be preferred for skin sensitivity.
