According to the ROC National forecast Committee, Romania's light industry output will slow down from 8.6% last year to 2.2%.

The recovery of Luo light industry needs to increase investment in design and brand.

The Committee expects that the output of textiles and leather goods and footwear will increase by 3% and 0.5% respectively this year due to the increase in domestic demand caused by income growth.

At the same time, the committee also predicted that the trend of garment production in the past four years will continue to decline, which can be seen from the data in the first quarter of this year. The decline was only 1.1%, the lowest in recent years.

In the first quarter of 2007, the output of Lo clothing decreased by 18% compared with the same period last year.

On the export side, the Committee expects that exports of light textile products will be slightly higher than last year's level, an increase of about 0.6%.

Export growth will be mainly driven by the export of textile products, which will increase by 4.3% over the same period last year.
