Recently, Jarden Corp, an American consumer goods giant with nearly 30 outdoor brands such as K2, Marmot and Coleman, announced its fourth quarter and full year earnings in 2014.

Organic net sales increased by 11.4% or US $252 million over the same period last year.

As of December 31, 2014:

Organic net sales increased 5.8% or US $430 million compared to the same period last year.

Reported net sales rose 12.7% or 931 million US $8 billion 290 million over the same period last year.

Gross margin was 31.8%, 28.7% in 2013.

Net income increased from $204 million in 2013 to $243 million.

Net earnings per diluted share increased to $1.28 from $1.18 last year.

Adjusted gross margin increased from 30.3% last year to 32.2%

Adjusted net income rose from $413 million last year to $512 million.

Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose to $2.70 from $2.39 in the same period last year.

It is worth noting that from the first half of 2014, the outdoor business unit of Jarden Corp group entered a stagnant stage, and its share continued to decline.

In the first half of the year, outdoor net sales amounted to US $1 billion 439 million, which accounted for about 38.8% of the total sales of the group (1 billion 436 million US dollars in the same period in 2013, which accounted for about 43%). At the end of the third quarter, this figure dropped to 36.2%, while it continued to decline in the fourth quarter, with a total annual share of only 33.1%. In 2013, this figure was close to 37%.
