Designer Angel Chen Keeps Releasing His Ideas.

As one of Asia's leading boutiques, Lian Crawford will hold second creative talent recruitment activities in Hongkong and Shanghai in April 6th and 8 respectively. This year's event is called "new fashion force". The Creative Star will meet with the lac Crawford buying team and select potential young people.

The three young designers from last year's creative assembly were Angel Chen, SHUSHU TONG, The world is your oyster., and this time Sohu fashion talked about the designer Angel Chen.

Designer Chen Anqi made a blockbuster in the graduation design of "Les Noces wedding" in central London's Saint Martin.

He worked in Vera Wang, Marchesa, Alexander Wang in New York, and created personal Angel Chen in Shanghai in July 2014.

In October of the same year, under the auspices of SONY, the 15 year spring and summer series extended the graduation series with the theme of "the sacrifice of spring", and won praise for exaggerated and unscrupulous graffiti.

In February 2015,

15 autumn winter series - "Bunny with Short Legs" won the British Fashion Scout Ones to Watch award and was invited to be released during the London Fashion week.

In May, designer Angel Chen Youthquake set up a special series of "Youthquake" exhibition in Losangeles, a buyer's shop in the US.

Youthquake is a time when artists gathered and influenced each other in New York, 6 and 70s, and constantly inspired new concepts and works.

The theme of Youthquake is China.

Growing rapidly, many interesting concepts have sprouted, just like those in New York.

What I want to express in fashion design is the concept behind it. The concept is first born in my mind, and then the clothes act as a medium that allows me to express the concept with artistic elements, not what I conceptualize and add to clothes.

And when certain themes are derived from specific cultural groups, clothing is more designed for them, presenting them in front of the audience with my color and techniques.

The first thing to consider is of course the season's cold and warm, and the theme of the series is that some people or things that affect me at that time, more of what I saw and heard and cultural background during the journey.

Finally, it will consider mixing other elements to enrich the whole series of texture. These elements are not necessarily related to the theme, but they can be interwoven in harmony to create a novel visual effect.

I enjoyed every design process, from inspiration, fabric, painting, to plate making.

After all, the ideas in my head are often full of leakage. The design allows me to release them. I think the difficulty is the production process.

Jean Michel Basquait, his paintings are often a bunch of bright and elusive symbols, masks and skeletons, and a large number of ordered graffiti. It looks like a child's scribbling.

He draws and thinks about life in an abstract way, which is a contrasting theme like poverty and affluence, apartheid or integration.

I think he influenced me to ponder over the social problems that involve a series of themes in design. For example, the wedding of two girls in the graduation series has made me concerned about the injustice of Uganda and the suppression of homosexuals by law and force.
