Counterfeit Case: The Couple Who Sell Fake Designer Clothes Are Arrested

Not long ago, the Economic Investigation Detachment of Xining Public Security Bureau received a report that there were two stores selling fake goods in Xining. After receiving the clue, the police of the Economic Investigation Detachment confirmed through multiple investigations that these are two stores run by husband and wife. After purchasing clothes from other places at a low price, they can then sew cloth tags, tags and certificates of quality of an international famous brand to sell clothes at a high price.

The police investigation found that the behavior of the principals of the two stores violated the trademark management laws and regulations, selling goods that were known to be counterfeit registered trademarks, with a large amount of sales and suspected of violating the law. On October 30, the police seized more than 800 pieces of clothing on the scene and arrested suspects Zhou and Huang.

The two suspects explained that they had sold various well-known clothing brands when they opened a clothing store in Xining in the early years. After that, they sold a famous brand. Since 2012, they have started to use the method of selling both formal brands and labeled brands at a mall in the downtown area.

According to the police handling the case, the behavior of the two suspects has been suspected of selling goods with counterfeit registered trademarks, and compulsory measures have been taken. The case is under further trial.
