Relevant media learned that the "one belt and one way" Summit Forum on international cooperation in e-commerce was held in Putian recently. Fang Aiqing, deputy director of the Economic Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, said at the forum that China's cross-border e-commerce transactions in many countries related to "one belt and one road" have achieved a year-on-year growth rate of over 20%.

It is reported that the forum is co sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, international trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute and the Putian Municipal People's government. The theme is to build an open, inclusive and innovative digital silk road. It has conducted in-depth discussions in many aspects and has released the "2019 global cross-border electricity supplier development report".

Data show that in 2018, the volume of e-commerce transactions reached US $1 trillion and 800 billion, of which only China accounted for more than 1/3, reaching US $630 billion. The cross-border electricity supplier industry in China along with the "one belt and one way" industry has been developing rapidly. The volume of transactions has increased by more than 20% over the same period, and the volume of transactions with Kampuchea, Austria and the United Arab Emirates has increased by 100% over the same period.

According to the media, in January this year, the Ministry of Commerce indicated that it would promote the "one belt, one road" trade and investment liberalization and facilitation through measures such as developing cross-border electricity providers with willing countries and regions. In July, as a natural partner in building "one belt and one road", 18 countries in Arabia signed a cooperation document of "one belt and one road" with China.

With the rapid development of the global cross-border electricity supplier industry, Fang Aiqing said that the next step is to continue to strengthen international electricity supplier cooperation, establish cooperation mechanism in various aspects such as logistics and customs clearance, and promote the development of free trade facilitation.
