Wuhan University: Creating "Invisibility Clothes" Won The First Prize In The National Creative Works Competition

A few days ago, Wuhan University created an InvisDefense invisibility cloak, which can achieve all-weather invisibility.

This invisibility cloak was born in the first "Huawei Cup" China Postgraduate Network Security Innovation Competition, and won the first prize in the Creative Works Competition.

Just as stealth fighters are invisible to radar, InvisDefense invisibility suits deal with machine recognition rather than the naked eye. A new algorithm is used to design a camouflage pattern, which makes the commonly used pedestrian detection methods invalid. At present, pedestrian detection accuracy can be reduced by 57.0%, which can be higher in the future.

Generally speaking, the camera can take a picture of you, but can't tell you are human. When the person wearing "InvisDefense Invisibility Cloak" and the person wearing ordinary clothes are in the same scene, the monitoring equipment will only "frame" the person not wearing "InvisDefense Invisibility Cloak" and mark "person".

It is reported that InvisDefense invisibility cloak can provide all-weather invisibility defense. In daytime scenes, special camouflage patterns effectively interfere with the visual neural network, making it blind. In the night scene, InvisDefense embeds temperature control materials inside the clothes to achieve stealth under thermal infrared imaging through special color blocks.

As a new type of defense product, "InvisDefense Invisible Clothing" can be invisible under machine vision to protect personal privacy and security.

At present, the team continues to study the stealth defense system for machine vision under visible light, thermal infrared, remote sensing and other imaging, including the stealth of people, vehicles, objects, etc.
