Malaysia; Hanfu

From Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with tropical flavor, flying more than 3000 kilometers north to Xi'an, Shaanxi, a group of teenagers are interested in visiting this city that has appeared many times in Chinese textbooks.

Recently, students from many Chinese schools in Malaysia walked into the Tangfeng Market Block in Xi'an in Hanfu to experience the fun of "entering the Tang Dynasty in one second".

As soon as they entered the Hanfu Store, Malaysian teenagers immediately shuttled back and forth between rows of colorful clothing racks in different shapes. "I used to like Han suits when I watched Chinese ancient costume dramas. This time, knowing that we had the opportunity to travel to Chang'an in Han suits, we searched online for the style we like in advance and came here to look for it." Malaysian girl Yang Shiyi asked her friends for advice while selecting Han suits.

Where should mobile phones be installed? Do you still wear glasses when you become an "ancient man"? How to raise your head and drink water when your hair accessories are too heavy... Malaysian teenagers throw out several questions just as they put on their Hanfu. Before the clerk could answer the question, the children had already found the answer, "My sleeves are pockets, which can hold a lot of things." "I don't look good with glasses, which will affect my makeup." "Slow down when walking. It doesn't matter if my headdress is not messy."

"I like the look of my Hanfu very much, and I feel amazing when I look in the mirror." 12 year old Shen Gaxin said that he had visited the Museum of the First Emperor of Qin's Mausoleum, Xi'an Beilin Museum, Guanzhong Academy and other places full of historical sense just a few days ago, and felt the charm of traditional Chinese culture, so he was particularly looking forward to this experience of Hanfu.

Since Chang'anhang, Shen Gaxin has said frankly that she likes the experience of Han style clothing best. "Hanfu can be worn to experience, feel and understand it more clearly and intuitively." Before the activity was over, Shen Jiaxin began to look forward to the next Hanfu experience, "'Seeing is better than hearing', which can describe my current mood."

When entering the Tangfeng Market Street, Malaysian teenagers seem to "cross" back to the Tang Dynasty. "Shangguan Wan'er" leads the way, talks with "Bai Juyi" about poetry, and appreciates "Zhang Xu" wild grass. The role played by the street staff is to answer their questions, open the "window" of ancient China, and see the splendor of the Tang Dynasty.

"When I was young, I imagined that I would be the descendant of Concubine Yang, because my family name is Yang and my parents are Chinese." Yang Shiyi laughed, saying that he did not know enough about the Tang Dynasty, so this experience was very precious. "In Xi'an, I am more integrated into the local life when I wear a Han suit, which is an 'authentic' cultural experience."

In Yang Shiyi's opinion, Han costumes are "eye-catching, gorgeous, generous and decent", which are very suitable for important festivals and occasions. "Many of my Chinese classmates will wear Hanfu in important activities. I also bought one online and learned a lot about Hanfu during the purchase process, such as different shapes, hair accessories, etc."

"Among a group of children sitting below the stage, I can hardly tell which are Chinese and which are foreigners." Liu Xuanchen, a etiquette lecturer who explained to Malaysian teenagers, said that in the smooth communication and positive interaction, he felt the children's interest and enthusiasm in traditional Chinese culture. "Maybe it is because the cultural context is interlinked that the heart is connected."
