Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the sixth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative inheritors, 942 inheritors were listed, including 79 inheritors of textile intangible heritage , where Ai Guard, Ba Sang, Shi Liping, Li Sufang Four ambassadors for the promotion of intangible textile heritage of China were among them.

Representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage refer to inheritors who undertake the responsibility of inheriting national intangible cultural heritage representative projects, are representative in specific fields and have great influence in certain regions, and are recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

It is understood that in recent years, various regions have attached great importance to the construction of the team of representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, and a large number of typical representatives have emerged who are both virtuous and skilled and play an important role in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. In order to strengthen the construction of the contingent of inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, further improve the level of systematic protection ability of intangible cultural heritage, and protect and inherit intangible cultural heritage, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism organized the identification of the sixth batch of representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage. The sixth batch of representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage was determined through the procedures of recommendation and application, material review, preliminary evaluation by experts, social publicity, review by the review committee, etc.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism hopes that the representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage will play a leading role, actively carry out inheritance activities, train successor talents, and make greater contributions to the protection of intangible cultural heritage. All units should, in accordance with the provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Intangible Cultural Heritage, encourage and support representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage to carry out inheritance and communication activities, effectively protect and inherit intangible cultural heritage, and continue to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of China's excellent traditional culture.
