Since September 1st, retirees in Guangzhou have increased their wages by 108 yuan per month.

Today, Cui Renquan, director of the Guangzhou labor and Social Security Bureau, promised to distribute the above money to the insured personal bank passbook by the end of November, including the replacement amount in September and October.

It is reported that Guangzhou arranges 600 million yuan a year for living subsidies for retirees.

According to reports, retirees who have taken part in the basic old-age insurance for employees in Guangzhou and retired before June 30, 2006 (including today) belong to the "pay raise" range, with the maximum amount not exceeding 150 yuan.

It is reported that in July this year, Guangzhou carried out a normal pension adjustment, and the average monthly income of about 500000 retirees increased by 145 yuan. Guangzhou's pension security level reached 1297 yuan per person per month, plus 108 yuan per person's monthly living allowance, which would increase to 1405 yuan.

This is the highest among all provincial capitals in the country, including sub provincial cities (except Shenzhen).
