On October 2, 2024, in order to provide consumers with more accurate quality information, Japan revised the Regulations on Quality Labelling of Textiles (No. 4 Notice of the Consumer Affairs Administration on March 30, 2017) in accordance with the Domestic Quality Labeling Law (No. 104 Law of 1962).

The main revisions are as follows: "polyacrylate" and "moisture percentage 30.0%" are added to the terms indicating the names of the constituent fibers for marking.
